• How have you grown in self-awareness through this course? This course helped me to develop and recognize my personal values and attitudes insightfully. I kept learning and thinking more about myself, in terms of my personality, strengths, weaknesses, beliefs, and likes and dislikes through the skill of self-awareness. Coming from an Asian cultural background, I learned that my thoughts, values, and attitudes were different from people who were born and raised in the United States. The course has helped me to become more aware of myself in terms of how my cultural background influences my personal values, thoughts, and behaviors. For example, in a complex situation, I have tended to avoid conflict and ignored the situation instead of choosing a course of action to resolve the problem.
