Johnny Cash is considered by many as a music icon, who has written music for many different genres. His songs were mainly about sadness, and redemption. He shares styles with Charlie Feathers, David Allen Coe and Ramblin Jack Elliot. In Johnny Cash’s 85th album, subtitled ‘Solitary Man’, he hits high with a few songs here and there, but falls short compared to the other tracks in the ‘America’ series of albums. The album opens up with ‘I won't back down’ which gives the listener a feeling of triumph, giving them lyrics like “no I will stand my ground, and I won't back down”.
