Strength training is one of many exercise people tend to stay away from, but Oaklander does a good job trying to persuade the readers to begin strength training through the use of pathos, logos,

Books are a real significant part of our lives and are involved at every step in our lifetime. Books are expensive and the knowledge in the book is always hard to get and is scarce. We can do well and better through the internet and without the books and it won’t even cost me because buying books is always another headache. When I was in my high school, I loved reading
I also agree with the fact that students will enjoy reading more if they are given a piece that interests them and have a great teacher that can provide input along they way. Having a great teacher is

Athletic training offers many opportunities and characteristics that interests me for my future career. Athletic trainers get flexible work hours, multiple benefits, many great opportunities, and much more. They get to work with various types and ages of people from children to adults and work in many different areas. Athletic trainers have a wide range of jobs. They apply protective or injury-preventive devices along with basic first aid treatment.
Career in Athletic Training Athletic trainers are highly qualified health professionals who are trained in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical activity. (“Explore Health Careers” 2015) Usually when you hear Athletic Trainer, you may think that all they do is sit around and wrap ankles. But there is actually more to this job, including an abundance of responsibilities. I am interested in pursuing a career in athletic training because i get to help athletes recover, and/or prevent injury so that they can continue to enjoy the game.
High Standards As early as the third grade, I remember being involved in sports. Whether it was volleyball, basketball, or dance I have been given the privilege to play on many teams. The life of a young athlete is great, however, it can become very stressful. At all ages an athlete is forced to cope with school, sports, and a social life.
Athletic participation at all ages has increased tremendously over the years. Student-athletes are working harder to become bigger, stronger and faster. As the number of athletes rise in schools, so does the chance of athletic related injuries. This is leading to the increase number of athletic trainers at the high school level across the country. Athletic trainer is defined as a “health care professional who collaborates with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation” (AMA 19).
To many people not familiar with the sport of lacrosse, a men’s game is just like a women’s game. There does not seem to be too many differences. That is the case in most sports. The only difference is the uniform and the gender. However, this is not true for the sport of lacrosse.
Are guns really the reason people kill or start violence?the answer is no, guns cannot Control a person's mind. A person is who pulls the trigger, guns cannot do that themselves. Gun control and background checks should be reduced. The gun is not what kills, people kill. People control their own actions, guns or any types of weapon does not control that persons mind on weather to kill or to not kill.
Rock climbers perform complex gymnastic moves on overhanging or seemingly blank vertical rock faces in a rock climbing gym or outdoors on natural rock (Fleming & Hörst, 2010). “The two most important fundamental abilities of a rock climber are strength and technique”, and technique, with an emphasis on efficiency, is the “primary determinant of climbing performance” (Hague & Hunter, 2006, p. ix). The twist-lock move is not a natural one; is difficult to learn; requires a significant amount of strength through the core muscles of the torso, especially on steep surfaces; and requires considerable practice and coaching (Hörst, 2016). Strength and power are no doubt required by climbers. However, the climber needs to understand it “through the master categories of balance and movement” (Hague & Hunter, 2006, p. 156).
The genes in our dexoyribonucleic acid, DNA, determine many things in our body such as our eye color, our skin color, our gender, right or left-handedness, and even height. Genetics also affect our athletic ability. Although studies show that genes, including ACTN3 and ACE, affect and determine athletic ability, factors such as a well-designed training plan, a proper nutrition plan, and psychology combine with DNA to contribute to athletic ability and performance in sports. Genes determine the types of sports people would excel at since genes influence athletic ability, and athletic ability dictates our success in sports. All sports fit in either one of two categories: anaerobic sports or aerobic sports.
