1st Amendment: The First Amendment of the United States Constitution states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridg-ing the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” In short, this amendment prohibits the establishment of a state religion, protects freedom of the press and speech, and protects the right to assemble and petition the government. The establishment clause enforces the separation of church and state and prohibits the government from restricting a citizen’s religious practices and forbids the government from forcing religion onto its citizens.
If guns didn’t exist the planet will be a better place than it is right know. There’s been many mass murders caused by people for selfish reason or because of mental illness. America should have better gun control. Over the years, many of the kills known to history are done by guns.
Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “Young Goodman Brown” is a story of two settings: the town of Salem, and the wild woods that surround it. The titular character ventures into the forest for one transformative night, lured by the devil. Though at first, the woods seem to represent evil and impiety to Brown, he is also forced to confront thoughts about the imperfection of his society and community. Thus, the wilderness becomes a ground for reflection and transformation, allowing Young Goodman Brown to venture into his inner thoughts and fears surrounding his religion and community. Hawthorne illustrates the divide between Salem and the forest by emphasizing the wildness and danger of the forest, and the order and safety of the town.
In our world, a hugely controversial topic is gun control. Should we have gun control, or should we not? Having gun control withdraws the right stated in the 2nd amendment, and strips people of a way to defend themselves. The amendments are rights that should not, and cannot be taken away from anyone. Guns are a given right, and gun control will ruin that.
Ever since the US has experienced these shootings, people love to blame the gun for killing people. What about the unstable minds of the people who are pulling the trigger?
Guns do not determine the likelihood of a gun-related crime to be committed, but the improper and careless misuses of guns do enhance the probability of a crime being committed. Every time a mass shooting occurs, people respond in the same way. They call for stricter gun control laws in order to make it more difficult for criminals to obtain weapons. However, we should take a closer look at the killer behind the trigger as oppose to blaming the outright presence of guns in our society. For example, when examining the price of gun control, Dan Baum brings up a new perspective when he states that by Americans “obsessing over inanimate pieces of metal, we avoid looking at what brings us more often than others to commit violent acts” (Chaffee 180).
Gun Control in America has proved to be a serious problem, it seems like all the wrong people have possession of a weapon. Trayvon Martin was killed by a nervous neighborhood vigilante. “If you point a loaded gun at me and pull the trigger you are presumed to intend me harm.” (Charles W. Collier, 81). In other words, if you aim a gun at me and shoot, you obviously wanted to hurt me.
For people that are against the use of others owing guns and would rather much ban them, it is found that the person who wishes to engage in a type of crime that is out of their own personal intuitive and whether or not he/she possesses a weapon, should not have the right to hold and own one. Since this can be compared to other weapons that are generally used to kill people, the fact that guns are seen as bad and something that is associated with violence, has indeed caused people to blame the guns solely for the purpose of causing so many killings up to now. What some people don’t realize is that people who wish to kill other people can attain other crude weapons, whether that be knives, hammers, and other metallic objects they can simply get their hands on that would purposefully fulfill their motive to kill the person they want. What many should know is that the only main reason why guns are used is simply because it help quickens the process to kill but it wouldn’t necessarily be deemed as the cause to all of this mayhem. People deserve to see themselves with grey hair. They should not die before they get a job, start a family, graduate high school and college.

For, the thing is that when people's attitudes drive them to do such things as mass shootings and other things such as suicides and homicides. These sort of things point the attention from the messed up people with the messed up attitudes to guns. In another sense, you have heard the saying “guns don't kill people, people kill people”. Honestly, this is one of the most accurate statements for guns don’t point themselves and they do not pull their own trigger. Guns, just like anything else, are a tool which happens to be misused often.
You have heard in the news how the gun seller gave the a person the gun and only ask for ID. The reason they do this is because they don't have the right or technology to do background checks on each person causing them to give he or she automatic weapons. I tell you this if gun sellers had the tech and knowledge to do and know this. Then many incidents would have been prevented. Another thing I want to say is that many news stations always say that the FBI or CIA or other agencies were watching the killer.
According to a report by the CDC over 35,000 people were killed by guns in 2015. ( National Vital Statistics Reports) Over the years gun control has been a controversial topic about how to control, restrict, and ban firearms in the United States, this affects several people who fall in the middle of the gun control spectrum. Due to news and media sources who try to make headlines, people think that guns are all bad and that it would be better to get rid of them. In truth, a gun is a deadly weapon that needs little strength and experience to use; when first introduced to war, it became the deadliest weapon ever as anyone could use it.
The person who is in control of the firearm is the one who is responsible for the trigger being pulled and the bullet leaving the chamber. Therefore, the firearm should not be the one to blame for the individual that pulls the firearm’s trigger. Many people will also bring up the point that there are countries in the world that have less gun violence than other countries. “Obtaining any of these types of guns requires citizens to attend gun safety classes; take written and practical gun-use tests; and submit to drug tests, background checks, and psychological evaluations” (“Gun Control”).
