For many foreign individuals, the thought of America is depicted as one of the greatest countries in the world, providing many known opportunities as well as a well-armed security than any other country up to date. While this may have been true, over the recent years, the controversial issue regarding gun violence has sparked a lot of concern among the general public. With major events such as the 2012 Aurora movie theater shooting, to the Sandy Hook shooting, to the recent, most deadly shooting up to date, the Las Vegas massacre, the discussion of gun control has become bigger than ever. For people that are against the use of others owing guns and would rather much ban them, it is found that the person who wishes to engage in a type of crime that is out of their own personal intuitive and whether or not he/she possesses a weapon, should not have the right to hold and own one. Since this can be compared to other weapons that are generally used to kill people, the fact that guns are seen as bad and something that is associated with violence, has indeed caused people to blame the guns solely for the purpose of causing so many killings up to now. What some people don’t realize is that people who wish to kill other people can attain other crude weapons, whether that be knives, hammers, and other metallic objects they can simply get their hands on that would purposefully fulfill their motive to kill the person they want. What many should know is that the only main reason why guns are used is simply because it help quickens the process to kill but it wouldn’t necessarily be deemed as the cause to all of this mayhem.
