In America, people are granted the Second Amendment; otherwise known as the right to bear arms. Many argue whether parents should be allowed to teach their child about guns and gun violence. Parents should be allowed to have the right and make their own decisions as to whether or not they would want to inform their children. Though some people agree with this claim, while others oppose this topic, it is ultimately the parents decision. Parents who teach their children how to learn and shoot guns should not be considered inhuman because they are allowing their children to become more aware of guns and their risks. Though many may consider gun violence to be a serious issue in America, it is crucial for parents to teach their children about gun violence and allow children to benefit from the use of guns because it could potentially help relieve stress. Those who argue that allowing parents to teach their child how to use a gun is wrong is because they believe children may be too young and irresponsible when shooting guns. Shooting a gun could be something that children might need to do, enabling them to get their mind off of everything. According to article three, Dr. Clouthier explains how, “the wonderful thing about shooting is that it is easier than meditation, it doesn’t get your body pumping nearly as hard as physical aggression does”. This passage notes how shooting a gun involves hardly any patience at all and relieves stress for many people easily. Also, with more freedom comes more responsibility for children, in which they will learn how to become more cautious and realize the effects and the harm guns could cause.
