Hi, Bobbi I enjoyed reading your post it was very informative. Unfortunately, unintentional shootings are committed by children and teenagers too often. Safety regulation keeps children from accessing legal firearms. The law has been set to ensure the safety of children, By storing ammunition and firearms separately in a locked cabinet, keeping guns unloaded, and ensuring that both are safely out of reach from children. Nearly all firearm accidents in the home can be prevented when gun are stored properly (Kumar 2014).
Gun Control keep School Safe The 21st century has brought out a lot of violence not only in the communities in general but it also puts the lives of students in school in danger. Individuals should be allowed to carry a concealed weapon if they choose to in order to be able to feel safe weather the person is a teacher or a student. The right to carry Teachers in todays society should have the right to obtain permit and carry a weapon to school if they choose to.
In America children twelve years and younger die once a week from accidental gun deaths. With that being said parents should be charged for their children causing deaths with their guns. Guns should always be put away in a gun safe, children are killing other children, and parents should know all the gun safety rules to pass them on to their children. This is just scratching the surface of why parents should be responsible for their children. First off if you are going to own a gun you also need to own a safe.
This include juveniles as well as adults because of juveniles being more susceptible to “living in moment” and doing violent acts. This can also be in correlation to the juveniles being unable to control their emotion. However, the same can be said about adults especially those coming from a rural areas or victimized childhoods. That fact of the matter is guns are needed to keep a sense of power over the individual. To keep them from trying to push the line of testing their PPO is a must and helps provide the PPO with sense of security.
A weapon in the wrongs hands is the maximum danger humanity can face. Nowadays, violence and delinquency in society are viewed as the maximum problem solver. Humanity is full of chaos; hate and envy seize our souls. Guns are the ultimate security for some citizens but for others, these add to a feeling of defenselessness. Throughout history, any topic related to guns means a plethora of problems.
Does Gun Control Work? Man has ruled over the earth for centuries. Using spears and swords to kill animals for food or to fight man on the battlefield. Then a new substance and tool was created to change the whole world. There have been reports of the mix of gunpowder creating explosions.
When it all comes down to the use of guns, or any weapon against another, there is always three issues that most come across: do I actually have the nerve to go through with it, can I do this and be okay mentally, and can I truly put others lives before mine? These questions, these logical thoughts, are frankly the most important aspects to using any weapon against another. Even if it is in the intent to protect another, you still must consider these facets before doing anything that could bring more harm to others than aid. In relation to this, it shows that these same ideals process through teacher’s, as well as any adult’s, mind frame. Trusting someone not certified and trained thoroughly for an immense period of time with a weapon to protect young children and other adults would be putting the kids and the protector at risk.
The use of and the owning of guns is a very hot and debated topic in society today. For many, this is a life and death debate due to the recent and numerous school shootings. These school shootings have caused an outcry for more gun control, specifically in relation to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. Despite these calls, increased gun control is not the answer. Most gun owners’ use their guns responsibly and for good purposes.
I have learned a lot throughout the creation of my academic plan! Not only was helpful, but I also enjoyed making it. This academic plan will keep me on track throughout the rest of my college experience here at UNC Charlotte. I will follow it as best as I can and will make changes if needed. One of the main things I learned is that I may need to consider applying for a minor.
Gun control has been a heated debate for several decades, recently, the discussion surrounding this matter has intensified. The argument seems to be divided into liberal and conservative views, thoughts, and values. A majority of liberals desire stricter gun laws, required mental health check-ups, and longer waiting periods when it comes to purchasing a gun. However, the general census among the Republicans is less governmental interference because they feel that there is already too much governmental control involved. The Republican Party often does not want stricter gun laws because the problem at hand is not the gun itself, but the individual wielding the gun.
A lot of people have guns in the United States so the logical reason is to teach them. Butch Jensen has a good point. If you are going to teach children gun safety, you should start with a lower caliber gun, like a BB gun or a .22 rifle
Guns: Safety or Danger 89% of unintentional shooting deaths among children occur in the home. Most of these deaths occur when children are alone and playing with a loaded gun. These accidents happen in younger children because they are not aware of the dangers that a gun can do. Although guns have some risks for dangers, they can make a life or death difference in the home. Guns are used over 2.5 million times a year for self defense (“Guns Save”).
Guns are just a tool, like knives and hammers and it completely depends on the people on how they use it. People who support guns and arms say that the Second Amendment secures individual’s right to carry guns with them and that gun rights is needed for self-protection, and was intended for military to have peace and defend the country if needed (Spitzer, 70). Most of the Americans use guns as a source to protect themselves and they believe that gun ownership prevents crime. A study conducted on November 26, 2013 showed that bans on weapons did not significantly affect murder rates at the state level (Lane, 5). Moreover, even if the rules and regulations are executed on gun control, not all criminals obey the law.
Gun Control Gun control has become a polarizing and controversial issue around the globe. There have been many reported issues of mass shootings both in schools and in the public, making it a hot button issue. Proponents argue that, if the government strictly controls the ownership of guns, such tragedies can be prevented. Most Americans have an obsession with guns because the law allows them to do so. Therefore, they are always ready to scoff at anyone trying to control gun ownership.
