Gun Control
The fight over gun control isn’t really about guns itself it is about the rights and safety of the people. Crimes and illegal acts unfortunately occur and happen every day. For a lot of people, guns help them feel safe and secure. It provides a sense of control and ability to protect oneself or others. Also, it provides a vital reassuring emotion of control in more ways than one.
The argument about guns is about the individual's fundamental right to liberty. The liberty for that our government is to not punish people for doing anything above the law. Our rights are pre-political, that our rights predate the Constitution and are therefore not granted by the government as a mere privilege. It’s about what they bring: cherished freedoms, and a reverence for independence. Guns are rejections of political correctness that creeps into everything. Passions over gun control are driven by one of the most powerful imperatives of all time.
The government believes that people are fully fit citizens. It really should be about whether or not you are able to carry the gun correctly and use the weapon responsibly and when needed to.
