I have chosen to apply to St. Louis in Madrid, Spain as my first choice because my sister recommended it after she studied abroad in Spain absolutely fell in love with the country and its culture. She studied at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. I believe Spain is the best location for me to further broaden my cultural diversity. I am from Morocco and with Spain being so close to us I have always thought about visiting and I feel as though this is the perfect opportunity to not only visit the country but also get the educational experience along with it. The best part about being at the University of Richmond is getting this opportunity of a lifetime to study in another country. Studying at St. Louis University for me would mean everything and it will be one of the greatest highlights of my career here at Richmond. Since I am an Accounting major, it is very important for me to get an idea of what business classes are like internationally since I will most likely be working with different nationalities once I graduate. Louis University is a highly ranked Jesuit institution in Madrid. During my extensive research on choosing the right study, abroad program for me, St. Louis stood out from the competition. St. Louis offers almost all courses in Spanish and English and the curriculum follows an American style of education. When compared to Deusto and Carlos III, St. Louis has more course offerings and a wider variety of disciplines that fit my career path.
