Throughout youth ministry, St. Vincent De Paul, and the Food For All Volunteer through Incarnation Catholic School, my eyes were awakened to realize the true impact I am able to leave among the Church community. My perspective on faith changed entirely after my experiences with each of these types of service. Each activity offered a certain aspect of happiness to myself and to the people around me, and this made me want to continue performing these acts of kindness without any hesitation whatsoever. In the future, I know I will continue to fulfill these deeds for others and exceed any expectations because these projects have taught me the most important aspects in life: love and happiness. I experienced these two aspects after seeing what I managed to provide for others. Moreover, this made me only want to continue doing good deeds for others without any limits and exceeding all expectations. Every Thursday evening, youth ministry with Danny Dunn was truly a blessing. It managed to make me realize how much more I wanted to grow in my faith after being around people who would always leave my day off with a high note. Vincent De Paul was one of the greatest service projects I accomplished. After serving meals to almost one-hundred homeless families, it made me take into consideration how much more grateful I should be for my life. Also, the families in St. Vincent De Paul we always able to keep a smile on their face, even when they knew they had almost nothing. This made me notice how I do not need things to make me happy; all I need is God, my family, and love. I believe my service influenced the families’ lives because I did my very best to spread happiness into their hearts by talking to them as I would serve them food, since I knew most of them were probably going through a hard time.
