Stage Managing: An Art

Stage managing is an art. More than any other passion of mine, stage managing demands a level of focus and commitment that tests my limits each and every day that I choose to continue in theater. As the first line of defense against missed cues, broken props, forgotten lines, and anything else Murphy's Law can come up with, my job is as preemptive as it is reactionary. A stage manager must have an acute attention to detail as well as a capacity for organizing and planning. Over time, stage managing has shaped my organizational skills, and allowed me to fine tune my attention to detail and planning skills in a way that aligns perfectly with my business interests, as business management demands a similarly meticulous approach.
