Standardized testing and unrealistic expectations
Are standardized tests useful and an accurate measure of a person's academic intelligence? Standardized tests are long tests that measure a students capability to complete a variety of subjects taught in school, and they are aimed to help analyze what academic level they are at. Standardized testing should be prohibited because many people have other talents and knowledge rather than what subjects they would be tested on, many people suffer from ADHD, some people have test anxiety affecting their scores and colleges depend on these test scores for a person's acceptance into their school. There are many sources that provide factual evidence that backs up how standardized testing should be stopped.

Some may argue that standardized tests are an accurate measure of one's academic level, a good way to see if they are being taught what they need to be taught, and if they are smart enough to get into a college or school. Standardized tests have existed for a very long time, even ancient Greece used similar tests.. A researcher from law.journal.ku.edu states, “This testing began in 1901 after the creation of the College Entrance Examination Board”(Naughton 264). So, standardized tests are not a new concept and they continue to exist. Some may believe that standardized tests are a way to test how well a teacher is at teaching.
