To live the life, in the best possible way just believe in yourself and set out and be who you are and don’t let anyone tell you differently. David does exactly this, he stands up for himself when someone is picking on him. In The Lost Boy, Dave Pelzer shows that standing up for himself and set out and accomplish a lot and just live life the way he wants to.
Stand up for himself when he believes in something. He doesn’t give in because someone tells him differently he fights for his opinion. If David specks up and stands up for himself people will hear him, they will listen to what David have to say if he believes in himself. David’s mom gives him the option to leave.
