This would give you the cost per hire. (Advertising + Agency Fees + Employee Referrals + Travel cost of applicants and staff + Relocation costs + Recruiter pay and benefits) ÷ Number of Hires iv. Source costs per hire? The source cost per hire would be determined by simply focusing on the source per hire and dividing it by the actual number or candidates that were hired by using that source. For example if $1000 was spend on online job sources and 5 candidates were hires using that source then the source cost per hire would be $1000.00/5 =$200.00. Source cost per hire using online job source is $200.00 per candidate.
