The movie Cinderrella teaches boy and girls the roles of certain statuses that they posses. Cinderella’s story expresses that if a girl does what she is told and preforms her duties, that she will be rewarded with a suitable man. Through out the beginning of the movie Cinderella is ordered to do house cleaning, cooking, and other household task that women were extected to complete. Cinderella did not rebellion against the unfair treatment and preformed the task that she was assigned to by her stepmother. Eventually, Cinderella is rewared by being able to marry the prince. Prince Charming’s and Cinderella’s “love” is completely based on appearance. Before the huge ball, there was no interaction, and they magically fall in love. The movie completely mistakes lust for love, and boys and girls are taught that love is completely based an appearance. Therefore, the sterotype implemented is if a girl wants to marry a guy, then need to be phyciallu attractive. Cinderella is a strawberry blonde girl, with blue eyes, and stand out against her stepsister and stepmother. She is picked to become the princes bride becuae she is more attractive than her sisters. Prince Charming rejects any women who chases after him such as Cinderella’s stepsisters. This enforces an unfair cultural norm, that men are supposed to chase after women, but when a women tries to chase after a guy, she is considered a whore or just repulsive. Throughout the movie the prince’s quest is to find the girl that wore the glass slipper. The movie creates a standarard that if men really love a girl they will go to the ends of the world for that girl. Furthermore, the plot of this movie states that if a man conquer his quest he his trophy for his triumph is a stunning bride. In todays society this plot is apllied, but is altered a little. In todays society men believe that if they make a lot of money, they are rewarded with a trophy wife. The movie socializes children at a young age to determined who is considered good looking, because the good looking charters are usually the hero’s. Men are depicted with as tall, strong build, broad shoulders, and fair skin. The men are always cunning, funny, occasionally awkward, good at fighting, and horseback riding. These socialize women that they want a man that looks and acts like Prince Charming. In modern American man are being sexualized more and more each year. It is unfortunate because, people should not be judged on their appearance, but rather their
