He was always vigilant about where Apple's products stand in the market. He understood the rules of the evolution of technology: Old devices’ functions are often integrated into new devices--as if eaten. Ever since phone manufacturers included cameras in their products, the digital camera market has been going downhill. This alerted Jobs and prompted him to put iPod in a phone: the iPhone. Jobs's policy for "achieving the impossible" was to "demand the impossible." He had the idea of a tablet that would require none of the conventional input accessories like keyboards or stylus. Instead Jobs wanted the device to detect fingers' touches as inputs. Under such demands, Jobs's team was able to, once again, find a solution. Jobs said: “We are all born with the ultimate pointing device—our fingers—and iPhone uses them to create the most revolutionary user interface since the mouse.”(“Apple Reinvents the Phone with iPhone”, Apple.com) It was a Microsoft engineer's words at a party that inspired Jobs to pursue this idea, just like how the graphical user interface of Macintosh wasn't Jobs's original brainchild either. But Jobs was the one who could recognize the significance. iPhone was a revolutionary product because it combined mobile phone, music playing device and Internet communications device. It is small, portable and intuitive to use. Today almost all phones mimics the iPhone’s
