Abortion: All Perspectives Abortion has been a largely discussed topic expanding from before the 1900's. Over the last 100 years the entire human populace has been trying to come to some sort of agreement, or stance on this subject. Knowingly, there are two sides that really show when dealing with this complex issue, pertaining to pro-choice and pro-life. An individual from the pro-choice group would be someone who agrees that abortin should be legal and available for all women. As for a person who is on the pro-life side of things, they agree that abortion is unruly and dub it as murder. Prior to the legalization, each state could decide for themsleves whether it would be legal within their lines. States against abortion were Texas. Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Alabama, North Dakota, Arkansas, and Mississippi (Feldmann, 2013). Many of these states were against abortion for equivalent reasons, mostly concerning the "Human Heartbeat Protection act (p.1). The Human Heartbeat Protection Act is made to prevent abortion when detection of fetal heartbeat is heard (Jerry, 2013). Studies were conducted after abortion was pronounced legal that showerd crime rates going down in certain areas, showing a link between legalized abortion and crime reduction (Donohue and Levitt, 2001). Some surgeons depcit abortion as a mistake because they appreciate and value human life. A doctor who has spent the entirety if their life studying the body, humans, and how vital each organ, vein, and muscle is, will most likely oversee the process of abortion as wrong and unappreciative.
