In the story The Outsiders, Cherry Valance said "things are rough all over".By this she means that the greasers aren't the only ones who have it hard.The Socs have more wealth but they have problems that money can't solve.The greasers don't have much money and think that money will solve their problems when it wont. The Socs have it hard because they don't want to be good and act nice all the time like they are expected to.They want to act like greaser but they aren't supposed to or expected to but they still fight and do stuff they shouldn't.Finally,they have good grades and fast cars and the Greasers dont have that.but,they are rich and the greasers don't have much money so they have it better than the greasers in that aspect. The Greasers have it hard because they are all portrayed as bad people who are poor and can't do anything legal.They wish they had money like the Socs,but they envy the Socs because they have something they wish they had,money.Also,some of …show more content…

Also,if you think your the only one that has it hard, other people have it as hard or harder than you.I can relate to this when my internet went off and i was mad,but then i remembered that people out in the world have it harder than me because they might not have power or worse.Finally,I also can relate to this when I was downloading a new game and my internet was going 100 kilobytes per second,But then i realized that other people have slower internet than that. In conclusion, The quote "Things are rough all over" can apply to everyone,what ever it may be the Socs or the Greasers or even everyday people.Also that this quote can apply to everyone and that not everyone has it easy.Finally, people most likely have it harder than you whatever it maybe so it's not best to complain about some things as people might have it worse than you
