Bones: More Than the Structure of the Body The path to prosperity is seen as a very difficult one, with weighty, life-changing decisions blocking the goal set by oneself. How one gets to that fortune is debated by all: some argue that being bold and ruthless is the way to the top, while others claim that finding one’s inner peace is the key to happiness. But who would have thought that the answer lies inside one’s body? The answer is the structure of one’s life in the physical aspect: bones. No, one’s bones are not to be taken as the literal answer, but as a theoretical viewpoint, where it provokes one’s thought. In my childhood, these wishes were mostly petty, whether it was winning a trip from any one of the assortment of sweepstakes I entered or becoming a movie star. As time passed, my need for a wishbone decreased in the aspect of overhyped fantasies. However, this did not mean I would never need a wishbone again, it meant my dreams were more realistic and personal. As I grew older, I wished to be seen as accomplished in life, to be seen as someone who knows the lay of the land, as a professional. I wanted to be recognized with achievements so that people would know how hard I worked for it. If I was not awarded, I felt like I was robbed and my work was for nothing. This process of working hard, believing I was going to be recognized with said award, losing the award, and discarding my work as if it were nothing went on for a few years. Today, I have realized the cycle I had paved for myself in the past was selfish, as I only thought that I deserved the award, not someone else. Although I do sometimes wish that I would be recognized for my hard work, I have accepted the fact that other people deserve the award and rightfully so. Now, I only have one simple, but significant wish for myself: figuring out what I want to do in my
