Student Chemical Reaction Experiment

Introduction:
A chemical reaction is when one or more substances are made into one or more different substances. During the reaction, atoms in the starting substances are reorganized creating one or more new substances which contain different properties. When a chemical reaction occurs, there is a change in the colour, bubbling, or fizzing. There is also an energy change due to the difference in the amounts of chemical energy stored between the ending substance and the reactant. chemical reaction - Students |

The concentration can affect the chemical reaction if there is more of the substance, there would be a larger chance that molecules will collide and make the rate of the reaction faster. If there is less of the substance, less molecules would collide, and the reaction would be slower. If the surface area of the reactant is expanded, more particles are exposed to the other reactant and more particles would collide and make the rate of reaction increase. The temperature affects the experiment when the chemical reaction would result in a higher reaction rate, as the particles are heated, they move faster and there are more collisions. Ending with the Catalysts. The catalyst enlarges the rate of the reaction by speeding up chemical reactions that would be slow. Tempature:22(oC) =((10+13.69+38.75))/3 =12.92 seconds.
Tempature:45(oC) =((5.56+5.54+5.55))/3 =16.65 seconds.
Conclusion:
At the end of this chemical reaction experiment the higher the temperature became, the smaller the time was during the trials and end results. When the temperature was 10(oC) the average time of reaction was 53.65 seconds, and when the temperature was 45(oC) the average time of reaction was 5.55 seconds. We can see that the higher the temperature is the faster a chemical reaction would occur, due to the molecule’s energy levels being raised. The molecules are moving faster and will bump into each other more often. When the temperature is lower the chemical reactions are slower, the molecules are moving slower and colliding less. This is how the temperature affects the time it takes for a chemical reaction to occur with the Sodium Thiosulfate solution and the Hydrochloric
