Student Council: Impact On Our Great Xaverian Community

I, Joseph Kanaan, would like to run for one of the four senators for our junior class next year. With my abilities and past experiences of being apart of school council, I truly believe that I can make an impact on our great Xaverian community. Because of my past experiences as being apart of Student Council several years ago, I feel that I can bring what I learned to the benefit of our brotherhood. This experience of Student Council earlier as a student has allowed me to mature by handling the responsibility of appealing to the ideas of our students. It was my priority and self responsibility to make my great past school better than it already was. Changes I helped bring to my school included an ice cream day once a week during lunch, which was supplied by parents. This left students happy and was one example how my school connected with each other. It is also an example of how one small idea presented such positive feedback in our school, and how it took a collective effort to make a difference. I would like to continue this by appealing to the ideas of Xaverian students of all personality types. Whether you are apart of Xaverian athletics, all school clubs, and Campus Ministry, I want to make you feel as content and comfortable in our learning environment. Also, I believe that I can connect with students of Middle Eastern descent as well as other diverse cultures since I am fully Lebanese. Although Middle Eastern students don’t make a large percentage of our student body, I feel that it could be beneficial if someone used to many other
