Success on the First Day of School,provides guidelines for teachers to have a successful first day of school and school year. According to the reading, a teacher's success for the rest of the school year relies on the success of the very first day of school. In order for a teacher to have a successful first day of school she must have a plan ready to go. The teacher must form consistency within the classroom. The teacher can achieve this by creating a “classroom achievement plan”. The plan reassures that the teacher is providing a safe, predictable, and nurturing environment. A well-managed classroom is the foundation for learning in the classroom. Consistency in a classroom builds a steady foundation for the rest of the year. It guarantees success because the student within the classroom will always know what to expect and as a result focus on learning. The fourth stage Impact, is an essential stage. Teachers who are proficient and effective are more capable of impacting the lives of students than teachers who are not proficient and effective. To be a successful teacher, you must be an effective teacher. To be an effective teacher you must be able to bring the class to order quickly , explain rules and procedures. Find out important information about the students and let them know what to expect in the coming days. Effective teachers have positive expectations, extremely good classroom manager, and know how to design lessons for student mastery. They are problem solvers and they analyze synthesize and create materials to help students
