(3 points) LO 7-4 In comparison to the creative process model, my creative process is possesses all the same steps from preparation to verification at varying degrees. If I know I have to come up with a creative idea or concept, I try to ensure I understand what I truly need to do and complete preliminary research along with that. During incubation when divergent thinking occurs, typically I engage cross-pollination. In my current position, I instruct new employees to prepare them for their new roles within the organization. During cross-pollination, my team creates a task force of different instructors that instruct different elements of the business to explore the problem with us. This allows us to view different perspectives on how to potentially revise or present the material in other ways. This cross-pollination of different instructors of different parts of the organization, improves creativity through social interaction. Many of my ideas are generated from things I pick up during those sessions. The next stage of the creative process is illumination. For me, social interaction triggers illumination. Actually, once I hear someone else’s point of view, I can apply it or tweak it to benefit the courses that I teach. I will take the rough concept that has not been tested in my own curriculum, and verify its effectiveness after implementing the changes.
