Title Countless of people are arrested for crimes that they havnen’t committed. People are being sentenced to jail for life or are being put on death row. In an article called “ 8 Famous Faces Who Were Falsely Accused Of A Crime” has a case of a man named Dewey Bozella, who is a boxer, was accused of murdering a elderly woman in her apartment at the age of 18. He spent 26 years in jail before a group called The Innocence Project helped him prove his innocence. Stories like these makes me wonder what they deserved to be punished like this and serve time in jail. Just like Dewey Bozella a young teen named Adnan Syed who was in high school is being accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. I believe Adnan is innocent of murdering Hae …show more content…
When it was Jay turn to tell his side of the story to the police, he told his story three times and three different ways. He kept adding different details to each story where in his second and third story it says that Adnan showed Jay Hae’s body in Best Buy, but in the first story it says that Adnan showed him the body in Edmondson Ave. This is very unclear for me because you can’t just forget where someone shows you a dead body, the person would most likely be traumatized of seeing the dead body. Then Jay says he saw making a phone call in a nearby booth by Best Buy, but evidence shows that there was never a phone booth that ever existed in the first place. Another evidence that shows a change of Jay’s story is that he keeps adding to his story by putting specific things he was doing at specific times like saying in his third story that after they dropped off Hae’s car they went to go buy weed for a friend, but in the other two stories is says they go directly to Patapsco State Park to go and smoke weed. Interestingly enough it is weird that Jay would testify against his friend without having a specific story organized and that seems accurate enough to go against …show more content…
Asia claimed to have seen Adnan after school in the library during the twenty-one minutes that Hae was murdered. She also said that he had a conversation with Adnan in the library. The conversation was about Hae and Asia said Adnan was calm when it came to her topic and that he wanted to see her happy. This is important evidence in proving Adnan innocence because Asia is claiming to be with Adnan during the time Hae’s murder happen which was after school. The final piece of evidence I think is important is the cell phone towers. The service that was on Adnan’s phone which was AT&T said that the exact ping of the phone was not reliable because it was not accurate location. This evidence that the cell phone ping was not accurate was never brought up in court, which would of made it the evidence of the phone ping unreliable. This saying would’ve helped Adnan in proving his innocence and make him one step closer to being a free
