In the book, “Rereading America,” written by Toni Cade Bambara along with Gary Colombo and Robert Cullen, Bambara focuses on the challenges and desire to teach by contras of what you don’t have and what you can achieve. (Bambara, pg. 253-259) It is without doubt that even though a cookie cutter theory is used in most schools; there will be certain social economical neighborhoods in which a teacher or adult will have to vary the process of communication in order to get his or her point across with dedication and teach the love for learning. That’s Why I Have to Tell the Truth About It by Viet Thanh Nguyen is an argumentative essay about a man, (the author), who claims multiple countries as his own and has grown a deep understanding of his countries that have led him to love his countries, but also see what is wrong with them. He argues that even America has many flaws that most Americans do not recognize. The author makes his argument by showing the flaws of his countries, but also showing what there is to love about these countries. The two main countries he talks about in the text are Vietnam and America.
What she previously thought was “bad” English is merely a language variation, each variation with its own history and culture. Lanehart now believes these variations need to be celebrated and that they don't always need to be corrected. The more Lanehart learned, the more she believed that English can vary as long as we can all understand each other. Lanehart decides she doesn’t want to correct people anymore.

Although most firms now conduct business in English, they still speak their native language within the country. Many of these firms learn just enough to be able to conduct business transactions because the nonnative English speakers find that it is difficult to learn the entire language when their native language has different values and meaning to the same word. Indian English for example, is difficult to learn for non-Indians because of the differences in sentence structure, indirect style, and accents and pronunciations. This is similar to the example in McWhorter’s article that explains how words and phrases are developed as people pick up habits and create buzzwords. These new simplified versions of vocabulary and grammar become streamlined as future generations of children are taught in schools and influenced by the media.
