Our group has conducted multiple interviews with professionals in the finance and financial technology industries. The executive summary equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their future careers. All interviewees have generously taken out of their time of day to provide us with valuable information about their professional careers. Our group divided our questions into four main categories. The categories are about the work itself, state of the industry, compensation and advancement, and skills and experience. All categories relate to one another, bringing together a better understanding of the interview. Our group has carefully selected twenty questions to be used that are best suited to the industry we are researching. These questions cover all the most important topics that must be addressed and understood when conducting the research. The first category of questions that our group is summarizing is about the work itself. Interviewees were asked what skills were most essential in their industry. They replied with common answers such as communication skills, customer facing, analytic skills, time management, mathematics, and excel experience. These skills are the most expected in the finance industry. The main challenges that the interviewees reported were time constraints and deadlines.
