“Hayley Hodson was very good at the sport of volleyball and played for Stanford University. Even though she was a star, her life changed when while doing a drill she got a concussion. This statement helps people understand more about the peer pressure caused by coaches and the desire for a good season and peer pressure by pushing kids to get a scholarship, even when they are so young. The significance of this quote is that our society puts pressure on everything, but sometimes it can get the community of just kids playing sports and learning how to play before they start playing in better leagues or in high school.
