Technology has become one of the most influential and useful tools of our time. Technology has made certain tasks in our daily lives easier. When it comes to the topic of Technology in Schools, most students will agree that it is a must to have and use technology in schools. Where this agreement usually ends, however, is on the question of, “Is Technology good for students and focus?” While some are convinced that it does help students learn and achieve, other who are older believe that it makes students lazy and that they cannot focus. Though, as students having technology, does not mean we only know how to use technology and not know to learn research or do anything else besides using Technology. We’ve may have grown up at the start of the popularity of computers and other technology but it’s not all we know how to do. We also grew up knowing how to do things without computers or technology, because the people who are older than us taught us how to do things without computers or technology also.

In Nicholas Carr’s “Everything Bad is Good For You”, Carr argues that “The more they use the Web, the more they have to fight to stay focused on long pieces of writing” (6). Carr continues his argument by supporting Wolf's argument that “we tend to become mere decoders of information” (8). I partially agree and disagree with Carr on his belief, Carr has a valid that the internet can be distraction and can be used for procrastination instead of reading or writing tool. Many people get very distracted while reading because they hear a ring from their phone signaling they got a notification, these are the people who are so attached and dependent on their phones that they couldn’t put it away or silence it. Although if the internet is used correctly it can outweigh the fact that it can be a distraction but instead be a tool that helps
