Application of Leadership Theories in the Real World The book I chose to do this culminating on was, The Will to Win by Robert Harjavec. Robert Harjavec was an immigrant from Croatia who came to Canada in 1970 alongside his family. Robert was a dedicated young man and he quickly understood the responsibility of taking his family out of the struggles many immigrants face. The author worked hard and by the age of 50 developed many companies and became the co-star of the hit show Shark Tank. Throughout this brutal journey, Robert constantly learned many lessons he would later compile in a book called The Will to Win. The main focus of this book is to teach the reader about the many ways of taking charge in real life situations, in order to be successful and outshine those around them. Some of the leadership minded theories that stood out to me and the ones I believe I can apply in my life to become a better leader are presented below.

Encouraging my students verbally to go beyond the required effort will directly cause a positive impression upon us both from the point of view of the classroom teacher. According to Feser (2015), “By showing authenticity and a sincere interest in those around us, we build trust and inspire and help colleagues to overcome challenges.” Due to this, I will constantly assist those in the classroom and help them overcome any obstacles in their way. Having learnt about this leadership theory I will pass it on to the students in the classroom so that they understand that they can all go beyond average and exceed the expectations they have set for
