The Psychology behind Catching Fire In 2001 Suzanne Collins published the second of THE HUNGER GAMES “Catching Fire”, it was a great success and turned into a film by November 22,2013. Catching Fire is written in the first person point of view. Which is told threw Katniss she tells the story from her own thoughts and actions and others. The point of view was to allow readers to understand and see only what Katniss sees and understands. But, in all reality Katniss knows she need to be more then friends with Peeta so everyone can live. Katniss enjoys being on good terms with Peeta again. After there first stop in District 11 is stopped due to an old man being killed for putting up a bad sign. Haymitch and Katniss then discuss with Peeta the talk Katniss had with President Snow and the likelihood of rebellious in Panem. Throughout the tour Katniss and Peeta do everything to act truly in love. Peeta proposes to Katniss in front of the entire country and they go crazy with excitement and happiness. As, they celebrate at the annual party at Snow’s mansion Katniss dances with Plutarch Heavensbee, the new Head Gamemaker. He shows Katniss a watch with a mocking jay this is the same thing that she wore at as a pin in the arena. Katniss and Peeta return to District 12 to get ready for the Harvest Festival. Mistakenly Katniss sees a broadcast that said an issue in District 8 had gotten more violent. Katniss shares this news with Gale and asks him to run away with her. Gale wants to stay and fight because districts are rebelling the two disagree. Gale gets whipped by the new peacekeeper but is saved and sent to Katniss mother to be taken care of.
