All languages change over time. They may change as a result of social or political pressures, such as invasion, colonization and immigration. There are many reasons why languages change. One of the reasons languages change is due to migration. The movement of people across different continents. People bring their language with them and it influences how people speak. One example is that people will adapt words from other languages or combine words to make new words. As new inventions are created, so are new words added to our vocabulary. For example the word wireless did not exist many years ago. A person's level of education will also affect how a person speaks English.
