Reflection Paper #2: Supervision and Consultation I have been with Clackamas County Juvenile Department for a full four weeks (at the time this paper was originally written) where I have been completing about eight hours a week. My field instructor, Jillian Kellington, and I have only recently connected with each other and established that she will, in fact, be my field instructor. Despite the nature and quickness of my assignments, Jillian and I both found it helpful to establish and discussed the requirements of this assignment. The purpose of this paper will be to reflect on my field instructors and I’s discussion surrounding constructive feedback and describing my supervision and consultation. After I connected with a community partner to confirm youth community service hours, the partner provided me with feedback that did not meet their expectation regarding the youth. The partner provided useful information. However, some of the information provided was not appropriate for entry into our database regarding CC. So, I connected with my task supervisor to discuss who the information needed to go to as it seemed like there was more going on and there was an opportunity to help remove barriers. I chose my task supervisor because she is the only other person working within CC as was the most appropriate and within the hierarchy of who to go to first. My task supervisor provided great feedback for who to contact and what further questions I could ask to gain more information if I come across a similar situation with a community
