You have to have a clear vision, an idea and a purpose once your business grows these are the values you want your employees to represent and share. This sets up the corporate culture and working environment you have to set priorities and be seen as someone people can look to for guidance. They can come to you for help and have open communication in order to provide feedback. It is like being able to take criticism that will help you improve. They use these to train new managers and employees, it sets a standard for behavior that is unacceptable and their policies. This can include point system and relates to tardiness and absences. Rules in the workplace should be followed and the managers will be seen as an example. If others see that they do not meet with the requirements, they will start to stray from these rules and not follow them. It is best to hold everyone to the same standard yet being flexible because sometimes life happens. Along with these policies a manager should be direct and be able to conflict and handle termination of an employee. There are many aspects and tips that are given to new managers, for some their personal strengths will help them in certain areas. As individuals we have our own ways of dealing with conflict, communication and social situations. In our personal life we may be different than when we are at work.
