Are you that eighth grader getting ready to start your first year in high school? If you are wondering how to make the next four years of your high school career fly by east, do not worry. I have followed the following steps all four years in high school. Follow along The first step to surviving high school is to develop strong relationships with your teachers. I know you are probably thinking “teachers’ pet”, right? Well there is a difference between kissing butt, and actually being friendly. Being friendly to your teacher could mean a lot, you may need them in the long run for recommendation letters, or just help when needed. Another way to build a relationship with your teacher is to ask questions. Teachers loves for students to ask questions, because it means they are engaging into the lesson and is actually listening, but do not ever be scared to ask questions. Asking questions does not make you any dumber than anyone else in the class room. You should not think that someone is not enough to be your friend, because you may never know what they have been through. People like that may be the most generous, and easiest to talk to. It is better to find people who will teach you and help you grow into new things. There are two type of people to avoid in not only high school, but in life all together.
