Swing Master Sensor
The product that was chosen to research is the Swing Master Sensor because it is a product that can be sold both to softball and baseball sports. It is a sensor that can be attached to the end of the player’s bat and it has a camera that collects data to analyze the player’s swing. The sensor can cost anywhere between 50 to 70 dollars which is not highly expensive. Being decently priced allows most people the ability to be able to afford it and it is a product that can last for a great deal of time. It is not a product that can only be used once or the consumer would have to replace it every month or so the consumer will be able to get a good amount of use out of it. The product can be bought for a single person’s use or a program can buy it for the whole team to use. This product can be used at all the levels of baseball and softball. Professional athletes, minor league, college and athletes that are starting to get involved with the sport can use this product to help advance their swing to the next level. Baseball and softball athletes have to learn not only to beat the pitcher but also the fielder. Pitchers are throwing the ball harder and putting more movement on the ball, which makes it really hard for the batter to react to the ball in time (Fabian & Hesson, 2014). The batter can use the sensor while they are taking batting practice off of a live pitcher to allow him to see how he did with each pitch that the pitcher throws to him or her. Hitting is one aspect of the game that will always have to be improved, it even has to be changed with each pitcher has to face.
