I’m interested in transferring to VCU because of your medical program. In the Spring of 2014 my boyfriend was in a motorcycle accident and spent two weeks at VCU Medical Center. The care he received there was the best. Not only do the care for the patient, they care for the family too. I remember breaking down and crying in the Gateway Building.
This letter is to describe Emma Schilling and her qualifications as an RA; however, as a current RA, there are so many different factors that make someone an incredible RA. It is a job where the person either is ready for or he or she will be a train wreck at it. Maturity and inclusivity are key components of the job. Not to mention, the person has to like what they are doing or else the job won’t be worth it. Researchers and instructors produced some basic information about effective instructions. In chapter 2, they discuss six important traditional principles well-known during that time: focusing on academically relevant tasks, employing active teaching, fostering active learning, distinguishing between instruction and practice, providing sufficient and timely feedback, and teaching for transfer. One of the most important traditional principles that every teacher should use is employing active teaching. It has shown to be effective, exclusively in the basic skills. As noted by Brophy (1986) stated, “teachers who engage in active teaching are the instructional leaders of their classrooms; they are fully knowledgeable about the content and purposes of the instruction they present and about the instructional goals they wish to accomplish” (p.31).
There are a variety of ways for the teaching assistant to promote the independent learning: -Setting clear rules and instructions help the child build their confidence. Knowing what to do should encourage them to get on with their tasks or activities independently. -Encouraging group work helps students to develop social skills and communication, encourages them to speak up and present their ideas to their peers which builds their self- esteem and confidence and motivates them to independent learning. -Celebrating successes- Students respond well to praise and are usually motivated to do their best.
I am the employee that is the first to arrive to work and last to leave, the student who picks up the slack when other group members don’t hold up their end of the assignment, the friend that is always there when you call on them, and the mentor that will do anything to ensure my mentee is always at his/her best. Reflecting all of these attributes is my only weakness; always going above and beyond without reward although it may go unnoticed and sometimes can be exhausting. It is a passion of mine to extend a helping hand to others and watch others grow to reach their full potential as I have. Hopefully, I will be that Residential Assistant that residents feel that they can call on whether I am on or off the clock. In terms of strengths, I will examine two strengths outside of the cliché hardworking, critical thinking, and professional strengths commonly named.
The traits that make a good medical assistant employee are numerous. The top three traits are different from one individual to next because we all see and have our own opinions which do not make anyone wrong. The traits that I have chosen are listening skills, teamwork, and organizational skills that would make me a good medical assistant. A personal trait that makes a good medical assistant is to have good listening skills.

With the experience of working as a teacher assistant for Prekinder I had several goals for my students, but one of the goals that I had to have more emphasis on is the regulation of behaviors. When I came in as a teacher assistant I noticed that my students had no management of their behaviors. This was a major concern to me so my goal was steer away from that and teach them how one should deal with the problems they come in contact with. In my professional studies assignment, I examined research on the effectiveness on teaching assistants. As a parent the support my son has had from teaching assistants has been extremely positive. He was during primary school, three years behind his peers in Year 2, however by Year 6 he gained a Level 5 in both Maths and Science and Level 4 In English.
