Teaching Philosophy Statement

I want to as a teacher be able to help the students reach their potential and realize how their decisions can impact the community they live in. I know that doing so will not be easy but worthwhile. Also as a teacher I believe that I will be able to impact a student’s life in a positive way, and encourage them to keep learning while having fun. I will be capable of bringing in my past experiences that made learning fun and asking them what they would like to learn.
As such there are varies of ways that would enable me to do so. I would get them involved in class by asking what interests them, or doing projects that the students can have fun with. Nolan was able to do makes me want to accomplish what she is able to do for her students. For me she has inspired me to make learning fun for students so they will want to keep learning. I would do so by doing a variety of different activities based on what I can tell the students would be interested in, and how to get them focused on the topics. This would also help with showing parents how their children are growing.
Dealing with parents will not be easy, but I plan on having time set aside for me to talk with them. During that time I would tell them what the students do in class and how well their child is doing. If their child is acting out this would be chance for me to find out why their kid does it and if they can help stop it.
Furthermore I will have the students involved in making the rules. Such as coming up with what the rewards for following the rules if they are in elementary. The punishment for breaking the rules will be a major point to make so the students will know and understand what will happen if they do so. I will make sure that the rules are made clears to make sure that there are is no confusion. When I have a student that has problems with the rules I will take them aside and find out what I can do to help
