Ted Bundy's life began as a lie. Not only was he born with many questions, but he died leaving the world with many questions and uncertainties about who he hurt and what he did. Although he leaves us with many uncertainties we do know a little. From a very young age, Bundy had an abnormal obsession with guns. He tortured his victims before killing them. Since he was good looking and charming, he was able to manipulate young college women, typically those who were white, thin, and parted their hair down the middle, into helping him get to his car because of his "injuries". Usually he'd fake an injury by using crunches and putting on a fake cast or a sling around his arm. Once at his car he would incapacitate them by hitting them over the head with a tool such as a crow bar. He took out the passenger seat of his Volkswagen Beetle to fit them into his car where he could see them but others couldn't. His car is currently sitting in the Alcatraz East Crime museum in Tennessee. Once he was in a secluded place he raped them then brutally murdered them by asphyxiation or bludgeoning them. Once they were murdered he would visit their dump site or take them home and sleep with the corpse until the smell putrefied him. Ted, being a sociopathic serial killer, is assumed to have started killing around 1974, the same time Many Organ and other Seattle women began to disappear. Lynda Ann Healy, age 21, was one of these women. Reports have said that many of these women were last seen with a young, dark haired, handsome, man by the name of Ted. Some people even reported him to the cops but he was left alone because of his good reputation and professional look. He was left alone even longer because of lack of evidence. Later, in 1975, he was pulled over and arrested for the first time for possession of robbery tools such as a crowbar, facemask, rope, and hand cuffs, but, because of insufficient evidence, he was released being kept under strict surveillance. In November 1974 Carol DaRonch was attacked in Utah. She was the only victim to escape and tell the police a description of his car and give them a sample of his blood that was on her clothing. Within 24 hours Bundy had already captured another victim, Debbie Kent. Around this time his grave yard, filled with many bones, was found in Washington. These bones would later be matched to several women missing from Utah and Washington and the police were able to come up with a sketch matching Bundy.
