At the age of forty-two, Theodore Roosevelt became the youngest president in American’s history. In September 1901, President William McKinley was murdered in Buffalo, New York by a deranged anarchist, which led Vice President Roosevelt to take the oath of office. Bringing new excitement and power to the office, Theodore Roosevelt led Congress and the public towards strong foreign policy and progressive reforms. Roosevelt felt like he would take any action, as president, possible as long as it was not forbidden by the laws of the Constitution. “Roosevelt believed the president should lead, boldly” (page 592).
Glenn Theodore Roosevelt was one of the top chemist in the world. Have you heard of such a name before now that I bring it up? If not, then you will finally get the chance to learn about Roosevelt and th e things that he had accomplished to help us now in every day life. Not to even mention that Roosevelt won the noble peace prize in chemistry in the year of 1951. At one point, Roosevelt was considered to be one of the top chemist in the Country.

One that came to my mind was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I believe he made one of the biggest impacts on this country as a president. The Progressive was a period in which new crusaders, also known as the “progressives”, engaged in combat with their society’s monopolies, corruption, and social injustice in order to “strengthen the State” and “use the government as an agency of human welfare.” This motif of these reformers was seen throughout this time and ultimately produced success stories but nonetheless fell to several limitations. As one discovers, Teddy Roosevelt known to history as the “Trust-buster” played a prominent role in launching a triumphant end to dishonest monopolies and trusts. Theodore Roosevelt is one of the American presidents who are remembered for the changes that they brought or made in this nation. He was the 26th president of the United States and he is remembered for his transformations and important quotes which are useful today. Theodore Roosevelt was the most youthful president in the historical background of America amid that opportunity to be in office. He had not yet turned forty three years, the required age, when he got to be a president. He gained an early interest in the military as well. He was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York on the day of October 27, 1858. His mother was Martha Bulloch Roosevelt and she was an American socialite. His father was Theodore Roosevelt Sr and he was an American businessman. Theodore also had private tutors that helped him through school.
The Progressive Era began in the 1890’s directly after the Industrial Age. Teddy Roosevelt was one of the people who made a huge impact during the progressive era. He was also credited with most of the things that were done in the progressive era. William Howard was another president during this time and he continued on Teddy’s ideas of progression during this time. Although he continued Teddy’s legacy he wasn’t remembered as well.
The best presidents are ones with some style. All accomplishments and achievements to the side, a president should be memorable. Nobody does that better than Teddy Roosevelt. Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt is the best President to ever serve the United States of America because of his accomplishments in both his professional life and his personal life, along with his larger than life personality, and also because the American people loved him.
In September 1901 Theodore Roosevelt became president when William McKinley was assassinated. He thought that the presidency was basically a “bully pulpit”. Roosevelt was “a steward of the people bound actively and affirmatively to all he could for the people” (Divine 2013, p. 546). Roosevelt tried to bridge the gap between the African Americans and the whites but most southerners believed that what he was trying to do was a crime that was equal to treason.
As a history buff, having dinner with an influential character in American History is more like a dream rather than a hypothetical question. There are so many greats and personal favorites in our history to choose from like Harper Lee, Abraham Lincoln, or Thomas Paine. Although, when I consider only choosing one American figure to have dinner with and engage in conversation about current issues, one man stands out to me: Theodore Roosevelt. I imagine dinner with him to be a night of endless entertainment and compelling conversation. This can include basic human needs and nonbasic/luxury needs (Boylan, 2013). Species value is largely determined by cultural influence or consensus. In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt was up in Mississippi for some black bear hunting. When the hounds cornered a black bear, Roosevelt’s hunting guide knocked the bear unconscious, tied it to a tree, and then called Roosevelt to come shoot it.
Amid this period in New York City, nearby legislative issues were a harsh calling. Capable government officials known as "supervisors" ran political machines and controlled the greater part of nearby decisions, winning votes from New Yorkers through compulsion, blackmail, and the danger of roughness. A standout amongst the most famous of these machines was Tammany Hall. The preservationist, youthful Roosevelt started frequenting the base camp of the neighborhood Republican machine, Morton Hall.
