Melissa supports this argument by explaining the new study that states 13 and 14 year olds use the same style of conversation that they have with online friendships and offline friendships. Some people may say that social media has more positives than negatives, and others may say the opposite. In this essay I will be talking about why I believe social media has a major negative effect on people. Social media is actively used by many people around the world, especially teens. Social media can be used to share your ideas with others, gain information, and as a source of entertainment. But, it can also have negative effects, leading to insecurities, bullying, threats, and even harm.
Howard (2002) states that all early practitioners have to realise how play is vital in children development. When children are offered playing opportunities they are also given the opportunity to develop in their communication and language. A practitioner can support a child in communication and language by planning activities such as role play whereby the children will be socialising and hence communicating either with other children or the member of staff to describe what they are doing in the role play and they have to be encouraged to talk as children find playing is having fun.
