Comparisons Between Telus And Rogers
Introduction
Telus is a national telecommunications company in Canada. It provides a wide range of telecommunications products and services including internet access, voice, entertainment, healthcare, video, and satellite division.
Network Coverage
Customers of Telus are very much satisfied with the coverage network whereas Rogers customers have complain over its coverage area. Telus is sharing towers with Bell; hence its coverage area is more than Rogers. Coverage network availability differs in rural and urban areas.
• Rural areas
Telus coverage is better than Rogers in rural areas because it has a shared network whereas Rogers have “Uma” which is available only to some devices even in rural areas.

It is difficult to get network in some areas for Rogers. For example, in parklands, in USA border in Coutts, etc.
Network Performance
It is found that both Telus and Rogers are the same in call and text messaging but there is a wide difference in data speed. Telus has an average upload speed of 13 mbps in Montreal whereas Rogers has an average speed of 6.9 mbps. Telus merged with a Clearnet communications which helped it to increase its performance suddenly. Telus shares RAN network with Bell but not the transport and core networks. Telus brought availability of its mobiles more than Rogers which allowed it to overtake Rogers.
Wireless network
Rogers’s wireless network is found to be the fastest in Canada. In regional areas the speed of Telus and Rogers is the same. Telus became international increasing its network. It network increased because it became international. It started covering as many areas as possible internationally.
Price
Telus and Rogers prices are almost the same but price of Rogers is not flexible and it demands payment even when one doesn’t use the network whereas Telus pricing procedure is very flexible to the customers. They pay only to the actual use of the network and need not pay when not used.

Telus strategy of providing friendly service brought it a lot of profit and leads the market. It allowed it take away many customers from Rogers. Customers become loyal and get attached to the network providers when they are treated friendly.
Another strategy used by Telus is that they took good care of their employees and tackled labour disputes tactfully which allowed them to have a smooth running of their organisation.
It also provided scholarships to organisation which require. It became popular in the community because of sponsorships. It sponsored even many games.
Conclusion
Telus is taking over the Rogers customers not only by providing good network performance and high network coverage but also through applying efficient marketing strategies. Telus also has good returns which helped it to develop good investment plans. Profitable investments will help any company to progress further in their business in near future. It not only took care of service but also about its employees. Its strategies alone allowed it lead the market. When a company’s employees are satisfies they work loyally to the company.
