People may think that becoming a vet is a demanding job, but there are those that will and do pursue the career. Such as myself. After comparing Texas A&M, University of California-Davis, and University of Florida based on my criteria of distance, family, and the great community, Texas A&M would be the best choice in helping me pursue my career in animal science. The process will be long and difficult but there is nothing no one can not accomplish if their mind is set to being successful . There are many opportunities when it comes to being a veterinarian. Although, it is a long process career. Working with animals and identifying the way they act, their behavior, and their characteristics is something very interesting. Not only is it important to learn about animals but to help them in any way. One of the facts about the admissions are “Admissions decisions depend in large parts upon students identifying faculty members with funding.” The faculty will work with the students to show them demonstrations and guide them through the process of things “Faculty and students in the AMCB work in the fields of Animal Science.” In order to get into this career, a person would first need to attend college and do what is required to enter the program. …show more content…

They have a great Animal Science program that consists of well rounded benefits. The program at A&M competes in events, which would be a great learning experience. They seem to also have a great facility for Animal Science, “The department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University had achieved national and international prominence.” Their farms full of livestock are properly set up for them to be healthy “A successful livestock enterprise requires a good water source in both quantity and quality.” There are many reasons to why attending this university is a great idea. Not only is it a great university but it is also a great
