The purpose of this reflection paper is to give an overview of my life experience at Texas Woman’s University. TWU is a higher learning institution in Texas which majors in health sciences. The highest population of the university is women, who represent almost 80% while that of men fall below 15%. The university comprises of the students from various cultural backgrounds represented by not only local but international students. At first, I experienced some difficult times due to diversity in cultures at the university which created communication barriers. This was a challenge to me. But later, through education and involvement in social organizations and leadership roles, I have been able to improve my communication skills which have enabled me to interact efficiently with my fellow course mates. Therefore, Texas Woman’s University has enhanced my interactions skills with other cultures. Moreover, I acknowledge the disparities in our perceptions and avoid judging others on social grounds.

They are very friendly which is contrary to what I thought about them before. Most of them have taken leadership roles in the school and have shown a great sense of responsibility.
