The Article the Amazing Teen Brain is a very brief, but a very interesting chunk of text. The article goes in depth with many inferences to the field of Neuroscience. This article is tied to the introduced topics of Neuroscience. The relation to the article and neuroscience starts with the lobes mentioned in the article are lobes that are learned about. The networking of the brain is talked about in that the article makes inferences about how greater networking bring forth maturity. There are many stages of brain development and the stages that are talked about are how at certain ages disorders can emerge in people from the age of 14 to 24. That change in the brain is the development of the lobes into a much more mature state. Which would allow better independence for the teenager at hand. The neurons in the brain of a teenager are active and doing what it needs to do, which is firing. Neuron firing is one of the processes of the brain that is also described since we have been learning about how the neuron fires, what parts of the neuron do while the neuron is firing and the structure of a neuron in general. The nodes of a brain also from a physical connection known as a synapse between the neurons, which is very like the parts of the brain that are acting together during a cognitive task. MRI scans were also released to show that areas of the brain with more connectivity between the nodes and such have greater volumes of “white matter”. This ties in with what is currently being learned for me since the main topics we have been learning about have been the cells and the structures of those cells. Especially since the structure of cells is being learned about the structure of the lobes in the brain are very related to this
