Marilyn Monroe the beautiful blonde bomb shell, had many different aspects to her. She was and is loved by many, but also had a few people who were against her. She had a hard life growing up, and did very well for herself. She was a strong independent woman who knew what she wanted and went for it. Her past caught up to her and at the young age of 36 she died. Autopsy showed she committed suicide, but looking further into her death I believe she was murdered. Marilyn Monroe was her stage name; the name she was given at birth was Norma Jean Mortenson. (History.com ) She had a very hard childhood, her mother was emotionally unstable and her father was unknown. Norma spent her childhood in and out of foster homes and orphanages. She first had her modeling career, then she moved onto the big screen. It wasn’t until 1949 that she became famous for posing nude in the first issue of Playboy, becoming the first playmate of the month. She was known by many and she had pictures taken with Victor Mature greeting the Queen of England. (Autopsyfiles.org) She was allegedly having an affair with President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy. Marilyn did have insomnia and anxiety, which she was prescribed medication for. She was prescribed Nembutal for her anxiety, and Chloral Hydrate for her insomnia. She was receiving medication from her doctor and her psychiatrist. She had tried to commit suicide before by using the medications she was prescribed, but she always called somebody for help and got rescued. She was found dead on August 5th, 1962 by her house keeper Murray. Monroe was found naked lying face down in her bed with empty pill bottles near her. She had filled her prescriptions the day before.
