The aim of this method was to help children to overcome bed-wetting. Meinhard von Pfaundler invented this method, to at the time alert nursing staff when a child had wet the bed, it was latter put into full use by two groups of psychologists, Orval Mowrer, Willie Mae Mowrer, John Morgan and Frances Witmer.
