Also, the lack of education help perpetuate those in poverty to remain in poverty. The Borgen Project organization is a crusade to bring support for those in poverty. The Borgen Project claims that, “ By educating citizens on agriculture and forming techniques, they become capable of growing and selling their own on food.” By them not being educated, they miss out many opportunities and important skills that they need to learn that is crucial for their own survival, like food. The Child Funds organization is a nonprofit corporation that promotes safety and opportunity for others. Geoffrey Gilbert is a professor of economics at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY and edit a book call, “World Poverty.” In his research he express that poverty affect education because many dropout of school at a young age. He argues that, “... withdrawal of a child from school in order to save costs or, in some cases, put the child to work. Girls can be withdrawn…. because of pregnancy or because their family wants to get them married.” (pg 17) This children are dropping out and as they get older, it will be harder to recover and go back to school because they are being exploited at their job in a young age or being house wives. Poverty causes many to leave education without realizing it was the only way to help them get out of poverty. But remaining in school also becomes a problem. The trouble is that, “Not only are there not enough teachers globally ..., but many of the teachers that are currently working are also untrained, leading to children failing to learn the basics, such as maths and language skills.” By having untrained people to become teachers they don’t know how to teach and kids don’t learn anything, like read or perform simple math and end up like those kids that don't go to school at
