Once everyone was in the chamber, a German man released the gas and everyone in the chamber die, including Bruno. The death of Bruno led to his family finally realizing that what they were doing and the way they were treating the Jews, was wrong. One thing that I appreciated about the film was the way the director emphasized the fact that no one is born to hate. In this film, Bruno is an innocent, young boy whose father is a German Lieutenant-Colonel. Bruno was not born with hate for the Jews, he was taught to. He was taught by his mother and then, his tutor. His mother did not directly tell him to hate Jews, however, she would tell him to stay away and not talk to them. For example, in the movie Bruno wants to go explore the area in his backyard and make new friends— the famers (the Jews), but when he would try, his mother would stop him and tell him to stay away. Secondly, in the movie, Bruno's tutor gives him a book to read about the Jews.
