Greg quickly sped through the minor leagues where he was called up to the majors on September 1, 1986 only 2 years after being drafted. Greg made his debut at Wrigley field on September the 4th in the 18 inning of a game that started the day before. At this time Wrigley didn’t have lights yet so all the games were played in the day and if it got too dark they suspended the game and picked it up the next day. Formed in March of 1933 and lasting through July of 1942, the federally funded program employed over 3 million men to help preserve the nation's environment while helping to improve the economic condition during the Great Depression. The program had many advantages: it prevented young men from becoming criminals giving them hope, discipline, skills, and an improved behavior while preserving our nation's environment, and it helped in the decline of unemployment. Growing up in a lower-middle class home, I have learned to be modest and frugal. I have also learned that nothing comes free and that everything must be earned through determination and hard work. So when I joined the Cub Scouts at age 7, I was determined to excel and achieve the highest rank in scouting, Eagle Scout. Since then, I have been intent on changing things for the better in everything I participated in. Ergo, having a lifetime goal to give back to the Earth, whether it be directly by studying chemistry to help the Earth or indirectly by donating some of my time and money back into the science field to help fund future developments of technology, seems best for the world.
Trail Life USA vs. Boy Scouts of America Trail Life USA (TLUSA) and Boy Scouts of America (BSA) are two youth development organizations that share a similar mission: to provide young people with the opportunity to grow through skill development, outdoor experiences, and service to others. The two organizations have similar programs for youth. Both TLUSA and BSA offer activities in outdoor education and exploration, citizenship, character development, and service. The primary difference between the two organizations is their approach to values, beliefs, and program cost. TLUSA is an evangelical Christian organization that emphasizes a faith-based approach to scouting, while BSA is a secular organization that remains politically neutral.

I believe in marching band. I believe in blood, sweat, and tears. I believe in working hard not only for yourself, but also for the other 90 people on the field with you. I believe that if someone can get through a season without sweating, bleeding, and crying a few times throughout the season, they don’t deserve to call themselves a marching band member. I’ve spent each summer since I was a freshman in high school on the black pavement for 9 hours a day.

I hate marching band. Leaving the trap of a class was the best decision I made in my high school experience. Once I was through with band, I joined theater. Joining theater for my schedule well, introduced me to friends, and opened my mind to new possibilities I hadn't considered before. Marching band was physically demanding.
An unhealthy obsession with guns, being drugged to make killings seem normal, and being undoubtedly loyal to commanders is only part of what a child soldier is. Child soldiers can be dangerous and make up many armies in war-torn countries. In much of the world, usually in unstable countries, when conflict breaks out, children can quickly be swept up and put on the front lines to fight. Children may carry ten-pound guns and use bullets twice the size of their fingers. Some children are old enough to understand what they are doing, and others have no idea.
When I think of a soldier, I think of a strong young man fighting for his country. When I think of a child, I get the image of a young child playing outside with no worries in the world and no responsibilities. However, this is not true, as there are millions of children who have become child soldiers and have been displaced in the world. What makes children want to become child soldiers? Children become soldiers for their governments, as they recruit them.
