One the Capulet shield, I put a sword, a crown, a fox, tangled vines, and a fist. On the Capulet shield I decided to add the crown to represent the prince. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, the Prince is the one that banishes Romeo for killing Tybalt. The crown is on the Capulet shield because the prince is related to the capulets. I chose to put the tangled vines on the the Capulets shield because the family is closely related in the play. When Tybalt dies many members of the Capulet family mourned his loss and were very upset. Lady Capulet, Juliet, and even the nurse was upset about Tybalt dying. Juliet and the nurse are especially sneaky in the Capulet household because they help to have Romeo come into the house and stay there for a night. This was sneaky because if they were caught, Juliet would have been in big trouble for betraying her parents and also for being married to their family enemy. I also chose to include the fist on the Capulet shield. The fist is a symbol of determination. The Capulet family is determined because Juliet wants to be with Romeo and nothing is stopping her. Lady Capulet says that she will not stop fighting until Romeo is dead, for killing Tybalt. Capulet is also determined for Juliet to marry Paris. We know this because he said that if Juliet does not marry Paris then he will disown her. The last symbol I chose to put on the Capulet’s shield is a sword with blood on the end. This represents the Capulet family because they are not afraid to use violence against the Montagues. An example of this is when Tybalt kills Mercutio.
